Quantum advantage and how it could be helpful in making quantum chipped cluster munitions
Last year Google announced that it had achieved 'quantum supremacy' by releasing first pictures of its newly developed quantum computer with a quantum chip called 'Sycamore'. Google's quantum computer consists of microscopic circuits of superconducting metal that entangle 53 qubits in a complex superposition state. It took 200 seconds to perform the same task which would be performed in 10,000 years by 'Summit' , a supercomputer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Moving from 53 to 60 qubits would give the company’s quantum computer the equivalent computational heft of 33 Summit supercomputers. At 70 qubits, a Summit-like classical supercomputer would have to be the size of a city to possess the same processing power.

Now that these quantum computers are well and working, it's suffice to say that calculation worth years and decades is like counting sheeps. On top of that we even have well developed artificial intelligence. Sophia and others like it are living proof of that. So, I was wondering,Since, our guided missiles are just a primitive technology in regards to what is shown in sci-fis and all, we can take our tech one step closer towards those impossible looking things shown in cartoons and movies.
Missiles locking on a target after being launched was already a big step but we have seen they can be beaten or ditched with supersonic/ hypersonic speeds or some cheeky tricks too.
It is not difficult to understand the math and physics behind defining the possible routes of any moving target precisely by studying the required parameters properly. So if these quantum computers can predict all the possible routes of the target which is already on the move, the bigger missile which would consist of other smaller but pretty damaging explosives can be launched with the help of a silo sentry controlled by A.I to all those possible points of impact all most probable routes making this weapon an unbeatable one. And all this happens in less than a minute, in a few seconds in fact, if I'm not wrong.
Some people might wonder how is it possible to detect or catch such fast moving state of art planes and missiles on radar! There could be two ways that I can think of. First is with the help of a sort of navigation satellite. High speed moving objects can be easily spotted through them. Second is through a spy satellite or ground instrument which can detect certain waves as these fast moving weapons and crafts produce waves when they're launched. These waves can be detected if the concerned group or nation is developed well enough to own such resources.
I think those small exploding balls like clusters that iron man releases to cause troubles to his enemies which hit the target at different regions could be based on this but if it was this thing then the suit didn't consider 'all' possible escape routes. Most probably it was random, as it looked like but who knows, what Jarvis could be hiding from us!
