Did Ramayana actually took place ?
Most of the people around the world believe that the ancient Sanskrit epic 'Ramayana' is not a real event but a fictional story written by some author who was encouraged to describe the state of his era through his way of thinking. Infact, many people from India itself have such views. It is very sad to hear this though that people from that very culture where this scripture originated, themselves are doubtful of it taking place. First of all, this story is an event which took place long, long ago. As in several millennia ago. Second, many of these people were highly advanced beings who knew very well how to use each and every particle around them to their own benefit naturally and be able to migrate anywhere in this universe. I have mentioned in my article on another blog on Vaimanika Shastra that the beings from this age were able to produce work and energy with the use of tantras(any broadly applicable text/system/method/instrument/technique/practice)
Raavana had a flying vehicle called 'Pushpak Vimana' which was controlled with his brain power.
So overall, finding proofs that are good enough to prove that it happened is extremely difficult. In my post related to Vaimanika Shastra, I have given the images of an electromagnetic device dating 20000 years back constructed from rocks and coils. So there's no doubt that the technology existed during those ages.
There were several Gods among people of that era. Lord Rama, for one, was an Avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu and the central figure of the epic. Lord Vishnu is one of the three supreme deities of The Trinity. Lord Vishnu is also the preserver of the universe. He had to come down to earth to eradicate adharma (iniquity). Since it was the golden age (Satyuga), the extent of adharma was not the same as we witness today. It was less evil during that period but even lesser evil. Even Christianity mentions The Trinity but in a different manner, The 3 aspects of one true God(The Father).
Lord Rama's wife, Devi Seeta was an Avatar of Goddess Laxmi. Goddess Laxmi is the better half of Lord Vishnu and is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, luxury, beauty and fertility. It is a fact that wherever this divine couple resided or visited together, that place would prosper in every aspect of life. Like people would always be happy, there won't be lack of anything, there were no major harmful natural disasters, there would be free and emission-less energy (maybe even quantum based but more nature based). This state of the world was defined as "the rivers of Wriddhi Siddhi being flooded" metaphorically.
Several other deities came down to earth too, to take part in this war against evil in human form, supernatural ape form (lord Hanuman and his army) or Giant form. Please bear in mind that this war doesn't mean a few days event but it represents the whole chapter from birth to death of the people involved.
People keep asking me , how are you so sure that it's 'history' and not just some 'depiction' of our average daily life situations. Even my friends keep asking for some material proofs. That's the problem with our age. We are so lost in this information being 'gold' thing, that we don't even want to think about something until and unless it's proven right in front of our eyes. For example, people never wanted to believe in the existence of extraterrestrials but, when the Pentagon released the UFO footage last month, the whole world went berserk giving out their wild opinions on the existence of aliens and all. But it doesn't mean that they never existed before that. They were right there. It's the same in case of such epics. Still, there is some evidence which can be related to our ancient history.

When Lord Rama was marching towards Lanka with his army of apes, he faced a gruesome task of crossing the waters to reach the opponent's land where his wife was held after the abduction. Although lord Hanuman along with few others could fly because they were direct descendents of Gods and as I mentioned in my article on Vaimanika Shastra that their dharma was so pure that moving in the sky with the speed of wind with their own volition was natural to them. But the rest of the army of apes and monkeys who were not supernatural didn't have any means of getting to the other side. According to the epic, Lord Rama had to pray to the oceans intensively. After a few days, The oceans then offered Lord Rama a way to cross over, in which stones stacked by particular people with the name Rama written on them would float on water, so this 30 km long path could be constructed. This bridge was "Ram Setu" . It's called the "Adam's Bridge" by Britishers.

The bridge is 100 m wide. Right now, this bridge is 10-30 ft below the surface of the ocean. The international trade routes had to be mapped from around the islands because of this bridge. Sometimes people ask, how is it possible that a bridge so long was constructed from stones ?! Is it really true ?! The answer is, Yes! It is. The sand piled up below the bridge was found to be relatively newer than the bridge. Although the exact dating of the bridge has not been possible as there are various results but in every case the bridge was older than the sand below it. Scientifically, The density of the stone should be lower than that of the water to make it float. How is it possible ?? Surely they had some technology or supernatural powers to do this.

Lord Hanuman had the ability to manipulate his physical size at will. He could shrink and expand in size whenever and wherever he wanted to, as there were several occasions when this physical ability was needed to accomplish the task. Whereas, on the side, there was a giant with the name Kumbhkaran who used to sleep 6 months and woke up only to eat before sleeping again. Many of them from both the sides ranged between normal and giants. There are several footprints located in what's called Asia today, where Lord Hanuman was said to have visited or resided for a period of time. I have always been saying that all the Gods in every holy scripture, have been extraterrestrial beings who are responsible for maintaining law and order throughout the universe. Except The Trinity, actually the whole universe resides in them so they can't be considered extraterrestrials in their original form. But when they have to take some form to establish something on a planet, then they could be called extraterrestrials if you don't want to call them Gods.
All of them had abilities which are superhuman to us in a way that we can't achieve them even if we dedicate our several lifetimes to Dharma, Yoga and Spirituality.
